Our teeth don’t always last forever. When they’re broken or missing, we are here to help. Customized patient care plans help each patient restore their entire mouth so that they can feel confident during their everyday activities. Dr. Gedeon believes that no one treatment is right for every person. That’s why we provide treatment options that are tailored to a patient’s needs, concerns, and budget. Most people find that a combination of different treatments work best for their smiles.
We also pride ourselves in being able to provide pain-free injections to our patients!
We only use tooth-colored composite fillings. These fillings require less tooth preparation, preserve healthy enamel, and are mercury-free.
When a filling isn’t enough, but a crown isn’t needed, a porcelain inlay or onlay can be placed instead. These are sometimes called “three-quarter crowns,” because they restore a larger portion of the tooth, similar to a crown, but still require less tooth preparation than a traditional crown.
Full-coverage crowns are made of porcelain, zirconia, or porcelain fused to metal, creating the appearance of a brand new tooth from the gums, up. Because crowns cover the entire surface of a tooth, they help preserve function and structure when no other types of restorations are an option.
Fixed bridges are used to replace one or two missing teeth when there are healthy teeth adjacent to the open space. They are similar to several crowns fused together, with the crowns replacing the missing teeth being bridged between the two supporting crowns.
Removable partial dentures are an appealing way to replace several missing teeth throughout the mouth at one time. Partials are made of acrylic or an acrylic/metal structure, and snap in place so that you can eat, speak, and smile the way you once did before your teeth were missing.
Full dentures replace all of the teeth in an arch of the mouth with one appliance. A properly fitted denture will stay in place securely without the use of adhesives or pastes. Dr. Gedeon helps patients recreate their entire smile with traditional dentures or immediate dentures, depending on their needs.
Endodontic therapy is necessary when the nerve of a tooth has been compromised. Dr. Gedeon performs root canals on all types of teeth, and seals off the nerve chamber so that recurrent infections do not take place.
Our patients can have most oral surgery procedures performed right here in our office. Wisdom tooth extractions or routine extractions can all be completed at our Yonkers facility, allowing patients to have all of their treatment needs completed in one location.
